We immediately launched an investigation and have taken steps to secure the information systems. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued patience and support as we work to restore operations as quickly and as safely as possible.
Systems and Services that are currently affected:

Note: All instructors have been directed to work with students to ensure that the current cyber security incident does not affect their grades or ability to complete a class they are currently enrolled in. If you have concerns, please work with your instructor to ensure that all necessary assignments and assessments are complete. Division chairs are also available to you as a resource.

Counseling offices are currently offering some drop-in services. Be aware that counselors do not have access to electronic records or technology related services, so there will be some limitations. Appointments are temporarily unavailable due to the cyber security incident. We recognize this comes at a critical time for many students. As the technology situation improves, we will work to ensure that affected students receive priority service. Details will be released later as information technology services come back online.

On November 10, 2023, Glendale Community College detected a cybersecurity incident that caused us to temporarily take certain computer systems offline. Since we first became aware of this, we commenced an investigation, and we are methodically working to determine the nature and scope of the incident.
A cyber forensics team is meticulously analyzing every element of the incident to provide us with information on what systems were impacted and how. The investigation is ongoing, and it is too early to make any conclusions regarding the potential compromise of personal information.
We are working to restore access to the involved systems as quickly as possible and will keep students and employees apprised as services are brought online.
All in-person classes are still in session. Online classes have been meeting on zoom or Canvas. Instructors are sending instructions to students.
We do not have hotspots available to lend to students. However, you are more than welcome to use your own personal hotspot to gain access to the internet on your devices. Please check with your provider as additional charges may apply.
