Cybersecurity is the discipline that focuses on protection and integrity of digital information and information systems. Students majoring in cybersecurity are equipped for careers in virtually any industry as an IT professional who can assess cyber vulnerabilities, respond to cyber threats, and develop policies and procedures for maintaining cybersecurity.

It is increasingly vital that students learn how to “harden” networks, systems, and endpoint devices against cyber attacks. Students will study these topics in the Modern Cybersecurity course.

You’ll be challenged to apply a Christian perspective to ethical issues arising in this dynamic field while learning sought-after technical skills. This degree will give students a solid foundation for an exciting and rewarding career.
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor’s Cybersecurity program was developed with the LCMC and Rize Education. The LCMC is a strategic partnership of private colleges and universities nationwide, collaborating with Rize Education to provide access to a cutting-edge curriculum that prepares students for successful careers. The program leverages project-based learning and allows students to create portfolios to showcase to prospective employers.
